The site is a former marl-chalk quarry, the extraction pits of which are still visible today. The slopes, reworked during the site's renovation in the late 1970s, are being slowly colonised by vegetation. Located amid the hillsides of the Boulonnais cuesta, the grasslands here harbour real treasures. With a dozen species of orchids blooming one after the other from April to July, it is a guaranteed spectacle for lovers of flowers.
