Arena Terril Trail

Now, you can discover trail running in a lunar landscape typical of the Nord-Pas-de-Calais mining basin! 

Located on slag heap 94 in Noyelles-sous-Lens, this trail stadium – unique north of Paris – offers several facilities, allowing you not only to train and improve your trail running, but also to walk and discover the slag heap with the family or practise other sporting activities. 
  
All equipment is freely accessible: the infernal staircase, the multi-surface track, the fitness and balance apparatus, the play area with its ramps, stairs and slides, and much more.


The many activities offered by the municipality are also sure to delight all audiences: 

Nordic-walking sessions;

training for experienced trail runners;

trail-fit sessions;

fun activities (e.g. orienteering, etc.);

The Trail Academy: a school to introduce young people from 6 to 17 years of age to the practice of trail running, while raising awareness of the preservation of the environment.


And it doesn't end there! Soon, a changing room with showers and a communal space will be set up near the slag heap, in the Les Boclets Park.

Good to know: the Arena Terril Trail, Les Boclets Park and the La Galance Marsh form part of the larger Les Rives de la Souchez Park. Spread over the communes of Noyelles, Harnes, Courrières and Fouquières-lès-Lens, it forms an essential link in the chain of parks.
